Devlog 28: Tutorial + Save Game + New Menu


So what’s new?

New Menu

There’s a new start menu! With a tasty (if a bit generic with the main character looking in a vague direction, sorry NakeyJakey) little animation in the backround, not sure about this but, I would love the feedback.

Tutorial level

Due to some confusion from playtesters, I’ve added an optional tutorial level. It’s pretty simple, with all information conveyed through text.

Save Game

The game auto saves everytime a level is completed, pretty simple and doesn’t pause the game. Plus I’ve made a few minor changes to the map screen which isn’t worth showing here.

Why did I miss a week?

So there wasn’t a devlog last week, and fun fact, everything show in this devlog was done in a week after the last devlog. I didn’t do anything since that friday due to taking part in the Blackthornprod GameJam, it would be appreciated if you played and rated my entry Space Star Sam.

Future of the game.

I’m getting very close to finishing the game, to the point that I will probably not be adding anymore content from now until release. So for at least a month I will be polishing, bug fixing, and making Steel Titans as good as it can be.

A trailer will also be coming when I announce the release date, which is sometime in April.
